In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God…

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men…
5. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it…
14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth…
Essentially, God spoke everything we know into existence, through His Son our Lord Jesus Christ from before all time. With that same Word that existed from before all things, the LORD calls each of us by name; LAROCHELLE was founded by Leland LaRochelle, and as a brand we strive to stand in the world as a light that our Lord intended us to be in His likeness and image.
Just as St. Peter was named the rock - the foundation of Jesus’ Church - “LaRochelle”, meaning too, “the rock” , it is our calling to share His message of Love that He has for all of us. By Love, Tradition has defined it as, “Willing the good of the other, for their sake and not your own.” Love is an action.. not simply a feeling, or irrationally circular by definition. Love can be defined and there is a correct way to exemplify it - sacrificially.
As a brand, we seek to stand against many of the deplorable practices of the fashion industry as one of our aims. By operating with factories that manufacture clothing ethically, promote human dignity, and work against corruption our dream of working toward sustainability can be nurtured to fulfillment.
Our ideas are inspired as much by the possibilities we see in fabrics and design as the message of Love that we believe so strongly needs to be shared with the world at this time. Our goal is to try to express ourselves authentically, and humbly, but with a firm belief that putting our values on the line encourages us to do our best. This is what streetwear means to us, and we are interested in the endless ways people of all walks of life manifest this authenticity.
